Career Seminar with Dr. Neha Prasad at 4:00pm
Abstract:
I left WashU as a chemistry major, convinced that better molecules would lead to better medicines, but quickly learned that discovery alone doesn’t guarantee impact. This talk will present my career path from a bench scientist focused on antibiotic discovery to a commercialization strategist bridging the gap between innovation and patient access. This career path wasn’t traditional or planned, but it was guided by the same instinct that drives good science: the curiosity to pursue the questions you can’t let go of and the courage to look for answers beyond the boundaries of your training. I'll share the pivotal experiences that led me to ask how to create better therapies that actually reach patients and those that taught me how to operate at the intersection of science, medicine, business, regulation, and policy.
